Firefighters train intensely to win the battle to stay alive. In addition to the battle to stay alive, Firefighters and EMS personnel also face mental, physical, and spiritual battles they may not even be aware of or equipped to fight. Winning the Other Battles will identify some of these mental health and spiritual battles and provide suggestions to help win these “other” battles.

About Dr. John Babler

Dr. John Babler has provided decades of service as a police and fire chaplain. He has served in emergency services for over 25 years, having been a firefighter, fire chief, and licensed peace officer in the State of Texas. John is a Response Commander for the Texas Line of Duty Death Task Force, trained and experienced in CISM, crisis intervention, and grief counseling. Along with many other professional achievements, John is a published author in Biblical Counseling and currently serves as the Chairman of the Biblical Counseling Department and Professor of Biblical Counseling at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary.
